Diamond Jubilee - Monday 4th June 2012
Dear Parishioners,
DIAMOND JUBILEE
This Summer the nation will celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee. A special Bank Holiday weekend has been proposed to mark the occasion. Many of you will recall the Gala Event held at the playing field for the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and, hoping to build on the success of that, the Parish Council has agreed to co-ordinate a similar event on Monday 4 June 2012.
We hope to be able to offer many attractions comparable to those that we enjoyed ten years ago, in particular the it's a Knockout competition.

Superfast Broadband In Emneth - When?
12 Jan 2012
There has been a lot of talk recently in the press and on TV about super fast broadband "coming soon" to 80% of the population (usually stating 2015 as the target date as this is when the government hope to have the "up to 2Mb" connection for every household in place - don't hold your breath on that one!).
